About Our Church

Rooted in faith, grounded in Scripture, preparing for His return

Our Mission

To call all people to become disciples of Jesus Christ, to proclaim the everlasting gospel embraced by the three angels' messages, and to prepare the world for Christ's soon return.

At PMB Central SDA Church, we believe in the power of the Holy Spirit to transform lives, heal brokenness, and bring hope to a world in need. We are committed to the authority of Scripture and the proclamation of the three angels' messages of Revelation 14.

We invite you to join our church family as we grow together in faith and serve our community with the love of Christ.

Our Faith

28 Fundamental Beliefs

Seventh-day Adventists accept the Bible as their only creed and hold certain core beliefs in common. These beliefs, drawn from God's Word, guide our faith and practice.

1. The Holy Scriptures

The Old and New Testaments, inspired by God, are the infallible revelation of His will. They are the standard of character, the test of experience, the definitive revealer of doctrines, and the trustworthy record of God's acts in history.

2. The Trinity

There is one God: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, a unity of three co-eternal Persons. God is immortal, all-powerful, all-knowing, above all, and ever-present.

3. God the Father

God the eternal Father is the Creator, Source, Sustainer, and Sovereign of all creation. He is just and holy, merciful and gracious, slow to anger, and abounding in steadfast love and faithfulness.

4. God the Son

God the eternal Son became incarnate in Jesus Christ. Through Him all things were created, the character of God is revealed, the salvation of humanity is accomplished, and the world is judged.

5. God the Holy Spirit

God the eternal Spirit was active with the Father and Son in Creation, incarnation, and redemption. He inspired the Scriptures, filled Christ's life with power, and renews and empowers the church.

6. Creation

God is the Creator of all things and has revealed in Scripture the account of His creative work. He created the heavens and the earth and all that is in them in six days and rested on the seventh.

7. The Nature of Humanity

Man and woman were made in the image of God with individuality, the power and freedom to think and to do. Though created free from sin, they chose to disobey God and fell into a state of sin and death.

8. The Great Controversy

The great controversy between Christ and Satan, begun in heaven, continues throughout earth's history. The final resolution will come when sin, suffering, and death are eliminated forever.

9. The Life, Death, and Resurrection of Christ

In Christ's life, death, and resurrection, God provides the only means of atonement for human sin. His perfect life and substitutionary death overcome the claims of Satan and provide a means of redemption.

10. The Experience of Salvation

In infinite love and mercy, God makes Christ an atoning sacrifice for sin. Through the Holy Spirit, He draws men and women to Himself. All who accept His atonement are justified before God.

11. The Church

The church is the community of believers who confess Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior. In continuity with God's people through the ages, they are constituted as the body of Christ and the priesthood of all believers.

12. The Remnant and Its Mission

The universal church is composed of all who truly believe in Christ. In the last days, a remnant has been called to keep the commandments of God and the faith of Jesus, proclaiming the three angels' messages.

13. Unity in the Body of Christ

The church is one body with many members, called from every nation, kindred, tongue, and people. In Christ, we are a new creation and our unity is rooted in our common bond in Him.

14. Baptism

Baptism is a symbol of our union with Christ, the forgiveness of our sins, and receiving of the Holy Spirit. It is performed by full immersion in water as an expression of faith.

15. The Lord's Supper

The Lord's Supper is a participation in the emblems of the body and blood of Jesus as an expression of faith in Him and our unity as His people.

16. Spiritual Gifts and Ministries

God's church is endowed with spiritual gifts for the purpose of building up the body of Christ, equipping believers for service, and demonstrating God's presence and power.

17. The Gift of Prophecy

The Scriptures affirm that the gift of prophecy was manifest in the ministry of the remnant church, particularly through the ministry of Ellen G. White.

18. The Law of God

The great principles of God's law are embodied in the Ten Commandments and exemplified in the life of Christ. They express God's love, will, and purposes for human conduct.

19. The Sabbath

The Sabbath is God's memorial of creation and a sign of our sanctification. We observe the seventh-day Sabbath from Friday sunset to Saturday sunset as a time of rest, worship, and communion with God.

20. Stewardship

We are stewards of God's grace, gifts, time, means, and the earth. We are called to faithfully manage all that God has entrusted to us for His glory and the blessing of others.

21. Christian Behavior

We are called to reflect the character of Christ in our daily lives through love, honesty, purity, kindness, and integrity in all our relationships.

22. Marriage and the Family

Marriage was divinely established in Eden and affirmed by Jesus as a lifelong union between one man and one woman. The family is the basic unit of society.

23. Healing

God is the Creator and Sustainer of all life. Healing is a component of the gospel and part of God's plan for restoring humanity. We are called to promote whole-person wellness.

24. Death and Resurrection

The wages of sin is death. But God, who alone is immortal, will grant eternal life to His redeemed. Until that day, death is an unconscious state for all who rest in Christ.

25. The Second Coming of Christ

The second coming of Christ is the blessed hope of the church and the grand climax of the gospel. He will come personally, visibly, and suddenly to this earth, and the dead will be raised.

26. Death and Destruction

At the final judgment, the unrighteous will be consumed by fire, along with sin, suffering, and death. The earth will be renewed to its original beauty.

27. The New Earth

God will make all things new. A new heaven and a new earth will be the home of the redeemed. God's people will dwell with Him forever in perfect joy and peace.

28. The Millennial Reign and the End of Sin

During the millennium, Christ and His saints will reign in heaven. At the end, sin and sinners will be destroyed forever, and God will create a world of perfect peace and love.
